Small chronicle of the Family Kuppelhuber
The history of Hotel Kaiserhof starts in the year 1962. The then small alpine luxury hotel is opened under the name “White Star”.
1970: The name “White Star” is changed to “Alpenstern”.
1984: The hotelier family Heinrich and Waltraud Kuppelhuber from Berwang purchases the hotel and completely alters the hotel to the triple guest volume in a record time of only six months. The hotel is opened for the first time under the name “Hotel Kaiserhof” for the winter season 1984/85.
1989: The hotel celebrates its 5-year anniversary. The winter garden restaurant “Rendezvous” is also added.
1991: The family sells the hotel to the “Rosenberger” catering chain.
1997: The Kaiserhof is repurchased by Family Kuppelhuber.
1998: The “Bathing Adventure World” with 600 square metres is expanded.
2000: All rooms and floors are completely renovated, and the existing “Bathing Adventure World” is enlarged.
2002: The “Kaiseralm” wellness and spa facility is built and opened. Daughter Isabel Kuppelhuber and her husband take over the hotel in the same year.
2007: The wellness facility is once again expanded and new construction is added (restaurant and rooms).
2008: The hotel hall is renovated, also the ski rental is relocated directly to the hotel.
2010: for the winter season 2010/2011: the ‘kidsland’ is enlarged, also the babyclub with child care.
